North Vancouver Neighbourhoods

Below is only a minor sprinkle of what North Vancouver has to offer, there are dozens of more areas waiting to be called home. Confident this is a lifestyle you’re either already enjoying or one you’ll quickly embrace, we’re happy to help you with the transition. Let’s be honest, we know how to work hard, now it’s time to live hard!

Deep Cove

Deep Cove has to be one of our favorite hidden gems. You’ve probably heard the warnings, “it rains to much”, “it’s too far away” etc. but the real testament to this area is the fact that no resident ever seems to leave. Filled to the brim with outdoors activities, this is a hideaway for those who want to live year round in a vacation home. And if the atmosphere wasn’t enough to entice you, Deep Cove Village is packed with tempting treats including a theatre that boast a variety of live plays year round. We’ll confess though, we have a hard time just making it past Honey’s Doughnuts.

Lynn Valley

About a fifteen-minute drive from Deep Cove and only minutes from the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge is Lynn Valley. This is an area overflowing with young families who are completely immersed in their community. With recent upgrades to the Library and nearby shops, amenities here are reminiscent of Whistler Village and with a similar backdrop, it’s not far off. Nestled between Mount Seymour and Mount Fromme, this is an active family’s dream. Hiking trails abound, there is biking access everywhere and proximity to Karen Magnussen Rec Center where you can enjoy ice-skating and a large wave pool is only seconds from almost every home.

Lonsdale Avenue

At the centre of North Vancouver, Lonsdale Avenue runs from the sea to the sky offering a multitude of action. Enjoying the biggest growth spurt in this area, Lower Lonsdale is a hub for urbanites wanting to feel the action. A quick Seabus ride from downtown makes commuting effortless and The Lonsdale Quay means grabbing fresh groceries is inevitable. Panoramic views from Upper Lonsdale entice people to spend even rainy days enjoying their patios and a multitude of green space makes this area a haven for families who enjoy being outside. Close to the highway, access either bridge is a breeze meaning you can hit that snooze button one more time.

Edgemont Village

On the edge of the Capilano River, Edgemont is about as rare as they come. Remember the days when neighborhoods were so tight knit borrowing sugar was just an excuse to chat? This is easily the case here as block parties are plentiful and children still roam carelessly into each other’s yards searching for playmates. The hub of it all, Edgemont Village is filled with excitement year round as shops gear up for holiday celebrations months in advance taking both Halloween and Christmas very seriously. Likely to be fighting with the same faces every weekend for that last table at Delany’s, pretty soon you’ll just become accustom to sharing it.
