Born, raised, and still living on the North Shore, we like to consider ourselves experts.
In fact, so much so that we recently shared some of our favorite spots with Vancouver’s North Shore and thought we should relay them to you also!
With the announcement that Splash Parks across Vancouver are beginning to open this week (yay!), we thought we’d share a quick snap of one of our favorite “mellow” splash pads in Lower Lonsdale.
This is definitely one of my boy’s favorite water adventures. While there is now a large “Splash Pad” in Shipyards Commons, this small more subtle water space is where we like to pass the hours. It’s very low key compared to your traditional water park, ideal for young kids (my boys are 2 & 4) and perfect for Mom and Dad to enjoy a stunning view, dip their feet to cool off, and even munch on goodies snagged from the Lonsdale Quay Market or nearby Nemesis Coffee which are now both open. Have children that are slightly older? You might even be able to enjoy a glass of wine on Tap & Barrel’s patio which they play within sight. It’s a win-win for all family members in our books!
Looking for other great North Shore activities? We love all the inspiration and ideas available on Vancouver’s North Shore’s site and we’ll make sure to relay some more here over the summer!
